Jenny Meyer

My work involves exploring different forms of entertainment from popular culture. I enjoy taking imagery from the mass media and turning them into whimsical paintings. My caricature style develops through my drawings where I take apart bits and pieces from pop culture to invent unique shapes and compositions.

The drawings then evolve into mixed media collages, which transcend into paintings. Each painting has a narrative feel to it, but remains ambiguous enough to contain a level of abstraction. My desire is to allow the audience to use their imagination to fill the space.

I strive to create paintings that reflect a sense of light-hearted imagery using bright colors and compositions full of movement.

I appreciate pop culture, and hope to share my passion with you through my work. My ultimate goal is to bring a sense of entertainment, joy, and fun into your world!
